Hi joan, is your existing housing loan issued by Pag-ibig? If yes, you can have only 1 Pag-ibig housing loan at a time (a home construction loan is also a housing loan). Finish paying your first housing loan first, then you can apply for another housing loan.

Hi lorie, did they write D&C in the medical certificate? Many lying-in clinics are not authorized to do D&C — this may be the reason why they don’t like to issue a report. But I think the clinic can use the emergency-case reason, specially if you’re far from any other medical facility. Ask SSS if your medical certificate is enough since your had your “emergency” D&C at a clinic.

YES PO..they are so inconsistent with the requirements, i made this clear with them before i went back po. but then, ito po ang nangyari..so what i did po, gumawa nalang po ako nang sariling format sa waiver and i attached po sa SPA when i submitted it sa consulate po..hopefully okay na po yun.. pero mayroon po akong follow up question po, i include po yung pamangkin nang ama ko sa SPA rin giving her rights to process the necessary documents if meron pang kailangan na gawin..kasi baka hindi rin magka time yung ama ko..so okay lang po ba yun? hindi po siya kasali sa legal heirs…actually po ako lang po mag.isa na anak kaya nahirapan po kaming mag process…walang iba na makapag process…so i have given the rights to her po..hindi po ba yun mag ka conflict sa mga papers? hindi po iisulat ang pangalan nya po sa cheque? kasi po nalagay ko rin po dun na “to receive the benefits solely due to my phsyical absence as one of the legal heir” ..i referred po sana nito sa aking ama to support the waiver i attached..but then i forgot that i also write po the name of my cousin in the SPA. hindi po nila na review cguro..now po natakot po ako na baka mag ka problema na naman po dahil sa additional na pangalan na nailagay ko..
again po..thank you so much po sa pag answer sa mga questions ko po, kasi ako rin po maraming doubts bakit nagkaganito na to think po na ang direct beneficiary ay yung ama ko..

Hi luisa, was your grandpa still working just before he died? Was he younger than 60? Did he not claim his benefits when he was alive? If he already claimed his Pag-ibig benefits when he was alive, there’s no more death benefit to claim. If he did not claim his Pag-ibig benefits when he was alive, then you can collect documents to prove your claim. For initial processing, go to Pag-ibig (the Pag-ibig branch nearest where your grandpa worked for the longest time) and show your ID, your birth certificate, your mother’s birth certificate and your lola and lolo’s marriage certificate. These papers will show your legal relationship with your lolo. Pag-ibig will instruct you on the other documents required. Take care, and I wish you the best.
