dear BDO I’m in qatar. I sent money to my sister in hongkong thru BDO, but found out that her account is no longer active. so I again put the money to my account so I can withdraw and send it through another money transfer. but when i withdraw through my atm here in qatar and in other branches, i could no longer withdraw. I have verified from manila that my account is active and that the money I deposited was already credited. and my atm has logo master card and kabayan savings. any good advice from your office to withdraw the money for she need it badly. please

Hi Trafalgar, a cash card is not a savings account card, so this could be the reason why Other Services does not appear among the options at a BDO ATM. You are not allowed to use a cash card as your main card in enrolling BDO online banking — you must use a savings account like BDO Kabayan or a regular atm or passbook savings account. And then after approval and activation, you can enroll your cash cards as part of your main savings account.

Hi bernie, your account should be active, as it’s just 2 months back that you opened your account. BDO’s rule is for you to remit to your account from abroad at least once every 12 months. ATM balance inquiry there costs 1 US dollar. ATM withdrawal costs 3.50 US dollars. The machine there might also impose a charge. I think your account is active, and you can remit to your account. Hi marzel, yes, you’re right, if your mother has no more money with Pag-ibig, you cannot claim a death benefit. Pag-ibig’s death benefit is only 6,000, but if the total savings money to be claimed is less than 6,000, then the death benefit is equal to the savings amount to be claimed. In your case, the death benefit will be 3,000+. The money however earns dividends while with Pag-ibig, so the 3,000+ should increase.

Hi Nora, I am a travel agent and a client from US just issued a wire transfer to my BDO account June 18th (US time). I will be issuing check to the hotel on Saturday June 20th but I’m a little bit worried if the fund wired to me will be available by June 20th. Aside from requesting the hotel to deposit my check on June 22nd, I am thinking if I deposit my check payment on late afternoon this Friday so that it will clear after 3 banking days and the funds wired to me will surely be available by then. Do you think this can be done? By the way, the hotel has BDO account as well so I fear if they deposit it there it will clear at once right? Please advise what else I can do? Thank you.

Hi Nora,
The sender used a BDO correspondent bank–Citibank New York. This is the second time they issued wire-transfer to me. The last time was May 23 Saturday (PHL time) and it arrived May 26 Tuesday. This time they said they requested their bank to expedite the transfer since I badly need the funds June 20th. BTW, they issued June 18th PHL time pala, not US time. So would it still be possible the funds arrive today or tomorrow? The hotel is not allowing me to leave unless I pay them with cleared check.

Hello I have I question , I am here in the u.s now , but before I flew back here I open an account with my sister , joint account with her, then I also enroll online banking wasn’t succesful because the number they ask from me was my philippines number , but I gave them my u.s number also , They did not call me here , what happen is I cannot access my account , then I tried to send money to that account using money gram , , another problem money gram pay out if direct deposit into pesos , so another fail transaction again , it bothers me a lot , please bdo tell me what to , do I have to close that account , or I need your advice , so that I can put money to my kabayan dollar account ,, thank you so much ,,
